eats away
the cloth of existing
things
illusory, defiant -
prodigious fertility.

suffering
terrible suffering

his light
eternally starved -


infinitely surrounding him


the dark angels
those hungry ghosts
beat their ragged wings -

impotent,
small as motes
a mad pestilence
stuck, weightless,
doomed.
